Creating a role

To create a new role, choose View by Role and then click Add New Role. Here, you will need to give your new role a name and description, and set up what users with that role can access. You can also add a data view to the role and choose which account data they can view, or assign the current data view.

Editing a role

Once a role is created, you may want to edit the settings for that role. To do that, simply click the pencil next to the role name. This takes you into Edit mode, where you can make adjustments like adding/removing a data view, or adding/removing admin and analytics permissions.

Data Views

Creating a data view

Once a role is created, you'll have the option to assign a data view, which allows you to control the amount of data the user with this role can see. Choose Create New Data View at the bottom of the Edit Role panel and then select the module you want the user to be able to run reports for.

Once you click the data source, you can get as granular as desired by selecting or removing each data set the user can run reports on. Clicking on the arrow next to the data source allows you to filter all the way down to specific dimensions this user can report on.
