Enabling Browser Audio on Real Time Dashboards and Wallboards

Real Time Dashboard Services

When setting up your dashboard to monitor your queues and agents live in Real Time, you may have opted to add an audible alert. To ensure browser audio has been enabled, follow the steps below for your specific browser.

Chrome

    Choose the 3 dots menu.

    Choose Settings.
  3. 3

    Scroll all the way to the bottom and choose Advanced.
  4. 4

    Under the Privacy and Security section, locate and click Site Settings.
  5. 5

    Select Sound.

    Turn on Allow sites to play sound if it is not already on.
  7. 7

    Add Brightmetrics to the allowed sites.

When completed, close the Settings tab and you should be able to hear the audio without issue.

Firefox

    Choose the menu button.
  2. 2

    Choose the Options button.
  3. 3

    Choose Privacy & Security.
  4. 4

    Choose the Settings button next to Autoplay.
  5. 5

    The default setting will block all audio for all websites. Enter the websites that should be allowed to play audio in the list, then click Save Changes.
Edge

    Choose the menu button.
  2. 2

    Choose Advanced.
  3. 3

    Locate Media AutoPlay.
  4. 4

    Ensure it is set to Allow.
