Consolidated MiCC Reporting versus Trace MiCC Reporting

If you are installing Brightmetrics for MiCC over MiVB, we highly recommend using Consolidated Reporting.

MiCC over MiVB (versus MiCC with MiVC) has four sources of data:

  • Performance stats
  • RT/SDK data
  • Trace data (from MiVB SMDR)
  • Consolidated Reporting data (from MiTAI — similar to TAPI)

Consolidated Reporting resolves several common issues seen in MiCC's reporting and presents data in a much more concise manner. Mitel is aware of the issues with trace reporting, which is why they created Consolidated Reporting. That said, if Consolidated Reporting is not an option for you, Trace Data with Brightmetrics is still better than no data — and is a solid data set for trend analysis. Just be aware that it may not match up 1:1 with some other Mitel reporting.

Regardless of which data source you use, Brightmetrics will always be able to show you how metrics were derived — you can drill from a summary view all the way down to the Cradle to Grave report to see exactly what contributed to each number.

Note

Consolidated Reporting is available on MiCC version 9.3.0.0 or newer but may require configuration. If you are running an older version, speak with your Mitel reseller or resource about upgrading. Partners or resellers needing technical details on enabling Consolidated Reporting can reach out to support@brightmetrics.com.
