Mitel MiVoice Business: Migrating to Brightmetrics with MiTAI

Brightmetrics is now leveraging the Mitel MiTAI data stream for more accurate analytics. Migrating to our latest version with MiTAI data is really simple and will only take you 10 minutes or less.

Confirm that the Brightmetrics MiVB User Authorization Profile has the Application permission enabled. This can be accomplished within the MiVB Portal System Administration tool by following these steps:

  1. Click System Properties
  2. Click System Administration
  3. Click User Authorization Profiles
  4. Open the Authorization Profile for Brightmetrics
  5. Click Change
  6. Confirm the Application permission is checked (if it is not, check this box and click Save)

Log on to the server where the Brightmetrics agent is currently installed and run the newest version of our Setup Utility

  1. Log into the server
  2. Download and run our setup utility from here:
  3. In the pop-up, select Mitel MiVoice Business
  4. Click Start
  5. The setup assistant will identify that the MiTAI Processor is not installed. Click Next to proceed
  6. A screen will appear to select your database connection. If you are already using Local DB for Brightmetrics, you'll select that. Otherwise, enter the Server address of the SQL Server you are using and click validate.
  7. Click Next
  8. Once the installation has been completed, you'll see this screen and can click next to finalize the installation.
  9. The confirmation screen will appear. Click Finish to exit the setup assistant

Once that is completed, reach out to Brightmetrics support (support@brightmetrics.com) so we can complete the final step behind the scenes, and then you are finished. Brightmetrics will now begin importing and leveraging MiTAI data. Your existing dashboards and reports will continue to work, just leveraging better data on the back end. You'll also still be able to access historical SMDR data from prior to this change - Brightmetrics seamlessly switches between SMDR and MiTAI when you're doing analysis for longer time intervals.

If you have any questions or issues, don't hesitate to email support@brightmetrics.com and we'll jump in to help out.
